On October 15, 2019, at the Primary School No. Prof. Bogusław Molski at ul. Lokajskiego 3 in Warsaw, the 2nd International Backpack Day conference was held.

The organizers of the project were: Primary School No. 340 in Warsaw, Fundacja Dzieci Rodzice Szkoła and Foundation International Movement of Flying Backpacks / Flying Bag.

The honorary patronage over the conference was taken by the Mayor of the Ursynów District, the Institute of Children’s Rights. Janusz Korczak and the International Chapter of the Order of the Smile.

The conference was open to the public, about 400 adults and children in preschool and school age, including many distinguished guests working for children, incl. Mayor of Ursynów District, representatives of Kulczyk Foundation, Office of the Human Rights Defender, Chapter of the Order of the Smile, Institute of Children’s Rights. Janusz Korczak, as well as representatives of foreign diplomatic missions in Poland.

The aim of the meeting was to show the diversity of children’s education in many countries around the world and to present the problems faced by young people – the speakers were both adults and children, various workshops and artistic shows were held during the breaks.

International Backpack Day is an initiative that allows students to join in the celebration of the International Backpack Day. The action is about multicultural education, tolerance, counteracting exclusion, shaping understanding and respect for other nationalities and religions.
